Barbara Joanne Crossman of Savoy, Texas passed away peacefully on February 4, 2021 in Sherman, Texas. She was born in New York City on May 16, 1943, the eldest of two children to James Hall and Constance (Anderson) Hall.

Barbara loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She affectionately spoiled them all and always had to give them two cookies at a time so they had one for each hand.  Brownies for breakfast weren’t uncommon. She was active in her children’s lives as a “stay at home mom” until they were raised, and her loving presence gave stability and foundation to them. She was amazingly patient but could be quite stubborn when she put her foot down. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and was an online gamer.  In her younger years, she enjoyed outdoor activities such as swimming, camping, and lazy days on the beach.  She was even known to check out a roller coaster or water park with her grandbabies.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Constance Hall.  Barbara is survived by her husband, Ernest Crossman; her sister Carol Fenner of Connecticut/Florida; two sons, Ernie Crossman of Denison, Texas and James Crossman of Savoy, Texas; two daughters, Linda Colclasure of Sherman, Texas, and Darlene Lemons and her husband Bryan of Era, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11AM at Mullican Little Funeral Home Chapel 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required at the memorial service. Social distancing is requested.  A Celebration of Life will be held at The Bird’s Nest in Savoy, Texas.
