November 20, 1939 –  September 18, 2009 Barrie moved to Texas after the death of her father in 1947 with her mother. She graduated from Bonham High School in 1958. She married the love of her life, Sam Hale, May 19, 1959 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Barrie graduated in May 1968 from the LVN program at Grayson County College, and began her 35 year nursing career. She worked at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in surgery for many years before going to work for Dr. David Darling as his scrub nurse. Barrie went to work for Dr. Ralph Rehshaw in 198l until the time of her retirement in 2004.
