March 26, 1949 –  January 9, 2013 WHITEWRIGHT – Diane Pierce Stephens went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. She passed away peacefully at her home in Whitewright. Diane was born March 26, 1949 in Sherman, Texas to parents, Cecil Ray Pierce and Meda Mae (Anderson) Pierce. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and was a member of Eastern Star. She married Johnny Paul Stephens on July 23, 1966 in Trenton, Texas. Diane was Johnny Paul’s “right-hand” on the farm as well as a homemaker. She was a member of Kentucky Town Baptist Church and taught pre-school Sunday School for many years at First Baptist Church Whitewright. She loved her husband, daughters, and grandchildren with her whole heart. She was known for being a care-giver and also doing for others. Her favorite past time was cooking for her family. Diane will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Johnny Paul Stephens of Whitewright; daughter, Katherine Coley and husband Corey of Whitewright; daughter, Teresa McLain and husband Scott of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Kaysey McLain, Emily McLain, Noah Falafia and Cooper Coley; sister-in-law, Ruth McKelva of Trenton; niece, Glenda Hackney of Trenton; and long time best friend, Linda Sullivan of Denison. She was preceded by her parents and two brothers, Ricky Ray Pierce and Billy Cecil Pierce.

Funeral Services for Diane are set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Kentuckytown Baptist Church, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright. Reverend Rodney Stanford will officiate. Those serving as Pallbearers are: Bill Coley, Bill White, John Hackney, Steve Sullican, Ronnie Pennell, Bart Bodine and Lloyd Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Harvey, Sammy Harvey, Roger Harvey, Johnny Roy Willingham, Ralph Brown and Bobby Clark.

No formal visitation is scheduled, but friends my visit Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy prior to 5:00 P.M. on Friday afternoon. The family will be at the residence and friends my visit them there.
