Billy Bob Sloan, resident of Savoy, Texas, formerly of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully in McKinney, Texas on June 29, 2021, at the age of 72. Billy Bob will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend La Juana Sloan and their precious children Tricia Ann Tigert and Jasen Sloan.

Billy Bob was born Sherman, Texas and raised in Savoy, Texas. He attended Savoy High School where he met the love of his life, La Juana Swafford. They will celebrate 55 years of marriage July 8, 2021.

He spent the majority of his life working in and around automobiles and driving big trucks. He retired from Anchor Crane. If Billy Bob was not helping someone, working on or restoring old cars, he was mowing his yard. He loved to mow. He also loved BIG, he loved life, his family, friends, and telling a good joke. The sentimental Billy Bob even had “old” cars to document very important dates in his life.

Billy Bob always had a smile on his face and a joke in his heart. He had an infectious personality that always brought smiles to friends and loved ones. He impacted lives wherever he went and he sprinkled a little sunshine on those he came in contact with.

Billy Bob is survived by his wife, La Juana Sloan; daughter, Tricia Ann Tigert and husband Jeff; son, Jasen Dwayne and wife Marnie Sloan; grandchildren, Daniel “Blaine” Sloan, Ashley Kathryn Sloan; sister, Sherlene Romano and husband Bob, brother, Don Sloan and wife Linda; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by many “adopted” children and friends who never left his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Eurabel Sloan; brothers, Gene, Norris, Naamon, David and Larry Sloan.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mullican Little Funeral Home, 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. Funeral Services will be held on July 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. also at Mullican Little Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy, Texas.
