Bobby Shields passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 30, 2025 at the age of 82 in Sherman, Texas. Bobby was born in Van Alstyne, Texas on January 16, 1943, to E.J. and Grace (Lawrence) Shields. He married the love of his life, Doyle Lee Auldridge on March 2, 1963. They had six children together.
Bobby served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked in the general public for many years in sales and was very mechanically inclined. He was a people person who never met a stranger and was a fun person to be around. He will be greatlymissed.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Doyle Lee Shields; grandchildren, Robert Lee Shields, Jr., Misty Dawn Shields, Shaune David Glass, Josh Maret; siblings, Jenny Pearl Shields, Ruth Mahnick, Maggie Dean Hodge, Charles Shields, Harold Shields, Ed Shields, and Tamar Parish, and son-in-law, Marty Charles.
Bobby is survived by his six children, Robert Lee Shields and wife Shelley of Pottsboro, Gregory Allen Shields and wife Barrie of Denison, Sandra Kay Melton and husband Danny of Sherman, Annette Fay Higgins and husband John Paul of Fort Worth, Charlotte Dianne Charles of Bonham, and Tracy Rene Roberts and husband Rick of Sherman.
He is also survived by15 grandchildren, Zachariah Shields and wife Georgeanne, Kristena Boyles and husband Travis, Brent Lemmons and wife Jessica, Allen Shields, Eric Shields and wife Chelsi, Jereme Melton, Summer Plunkett and husband James, Travis Maret with Tyler Gabriel, Scott Higgins, Chance Higgins and wife Emily, Leslie Carl, Monica Hollingsworth and husband Nick, Sarah Easley and husband Chance, Nathaniel Miller and wife Mckenzie, Nicholas Miller and wife Caitlyn and Alisha Miller; along with great grandchildren, Chaz and Axel Shields, Aubryanne and Elaine Boyles, Elizabeth (Justin), Savannah, Blaine, and Lexi Olguin, Calista and Lydia Lemmons, Steven Berna, Haden and Haven Shields, Layla and Caleb Melton, Lily and Jolene Johnson, Cheyanne Lawrence, Sophie Plunkett, Shyla Haverkamp, Ayla and Arya Maret, TJ Henderson, Chloe and Keileigh Taylor, Kylen, Eli and Olivia Hollingsworth, Emma Hollis, Annabelle, Josie, and Margaret Miller and Paisley Foster. His sisters, Pat Embery of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Brenda Ashley and husband Larry of Van Alstyne also survived him.

Robert, Greg, Sandra, Annette, Charlotte, Tracy and all the rest of the family; I am so sorry to see that Bobby has passed. He was truly one of a kind and one of my favorites in the family. Prayers for you all as you face these next few days and months as you adjust to life without your daddy. I know he will be missed by many, but he was loved by all. Bless each and every one of you.
