Memorial donations may be given in his name to FOR THE KIDS benefit foundation. 2000 Monte Cristo Drive, Sherman, Texas 75092, an organization and a cause he supported from its inception and rode as Santa for 26 years.  He also played Santa for the Crisis Center helping to make Christmas brighter for the children.

Bruce Guffee lived a life that was of his choosing.  He was a man of few words, some of which were definitely his own, “Yuck, EBdah, Oshee awa daba, Duda, and HUH” just to name a few. He also had a rather unique way to telling you, “Hi.” Those that knew him, understood what he was telling you.   But along with his few words came the largest heart anyone has ever known. He would give you the shirt off his back to help anyone. He loved to work with the organizations that supported motorcycle rights. He was deeply passionate about Texas and Texoma ABATE, he was one of the founding members of Texoma ABATE.  Anyone who knew of him could spot him a mile away on that dirty red motorcycle with the scratched-up windshield.

One of DADS greatest accomplishment came after countless trips to the Capital in Austin. He fought tirelessly to abolish the helmet law in the State of Texas. In 1997, Texas repealed its mandatory helmet law, making helmet use optional for all motorcyclist age 21 and older. He has continued to fight to make sure the helmet law remains repealed.

In his spare time, he loved to garden and do things around the family farm or hang out with his family and friends.
