Carolyn Sue Isom, age 77, of Savoy, Texas, was called home to our Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White, Dallas surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on January 21, 1946 in Whitewright to Sherman and Rena (Alsup) Pool.  She graduated from Whitewright High School and Grayson County College.  Sue spent over four decades as a registered nurse serving others.

Sue married Joe Isom on June 16, 1967.  They made their home in Savoy to raise their family.  They were married for 51 years before his death in 2018.  Sue was active in the UMW, volunteered at the Food Pantry, nursing home, and served as a council member for the town of Savoy.

She recently moved to Little Elm to be closer to her children.  There she enjoyed Sunday lunch and game day, brunches, impromptu shopping, travel, and just living her best life.

Sue is survived by three children: son, Jody Isom, wife Sonya and grandson Andy of Dallas; daughter, Anissa Isom of The Colony; daughter, Krista Isom of Denton; brother, Don Ray Pool of Sadler; sister-in-law, Dolores Pell of Bells; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.  She also leaves behind her spoiled rescue dog, Marshall Dillon.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents Sherman and Rena Pool; parents-in-law A.L “Son” and Martha Isom, and six siblings Joyce Collins, Shirley Mitchell, Lavonia Jett, Thurman Pool, Barbara Pool, and Catherine Pool.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mullican-Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 Bells, Texas 75414.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Mullican-Little Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, Texas.
