Dorothy Moss passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 in Savoy, Texas at the age of 91. She was born January 21, 1926 in Grayson County, Texas to Vestal “Bud” Garner and Nettie Scott Garner. On December 8, 1945, Dorothy married Edward Moss in Sherman, Texas. Edward was a World War II combat veteran who served in Italy during the war. Dorothy and Edward first met when they passed each other walking across the viaduct in Denison, Texas. After passing each other, they both turned back to glance at each other, which was the start of a relationship that led to a marriage that lasted 62 years until Edward’s death in 2007.
When she was able, Dorothy loved attending church and the fourth Sunday Singings in which she also loved the Country Gospel Music provided by the many members of the church. They were a great ministry to her.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers; Clyde Garner and wife, Hazel, Floyd Garner and wife, Bula, and Boyd Garner and wife, Cindy, all of Bells, Texas. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Moss; brothers, Alton Garner and Weldon Garner; sister, Helen Jaco; and parents, Bud and Nettie Garner.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2017 at Mullican-Little Funeral chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas with Brother Russell Clemons of the Hebron Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Those serving as Pallbearers for Dorothy are Michael Garner, Ronnie Jaco, Mark Garner, Brad Garner, Chris Cooper and Bobby Doggett. Dorothy’s family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
