August 19, 2014 –  August 19, 2014 Douglas Butler age 76 passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ surrounded by his loving family. Douglas was born November 15, 1937 in Red River County to Fred and Tressa Widner Butler. He married Linda Duckworth on April 10, 1959 in Bonham, Texas.
Douglas was Service Manager for Jen-Air Sales Company of Texas. He graduated from Avery High School.

Funeral services for Doug will be at 2:00PM Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Mr. Marlin Cole of Gunter Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texasl.

Douglas is survived by his wife Linda Duckworth Butler of the home, son Douglas Butler and his wife Gail of Lewisville, TX, daughter Melinda Jarzynka and her husband Tom of Geneva, FL, son James Butler and his wife Pam of Ivanhoe, TX, daughter-in-law Ellen Butler of Fort Worth, TX. Grandchildren Nichole and John Isaacs of Sherman, Jakob and Elizabeth Jarzynka of Chuluota, FL, Heather Butler of Fort Worth, TX, Megan and Lee Goodwin of Telephone, TX, Jennifer Butler of Ivanhoe, TX, Ty Butler of Fort Worth, TX and 4 great grandchildren, sisters Dolores Rowland of Wynne, AR, Edna Ruth Neal of Lindale, TX, mother-in-law Evelyn Duckworth, sister-in-law Helen Farrow and many nieces and nephews. His parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Douglas’ name to The Leukemia Research Foundation, 3520 Lake Ave. Ste. 202, Wilmette, IL 60091. Website, www.allbloodcancers.org

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
