I worked with Erma for several years. We shared a client at Home Instead. Her client and co-workers loved her joyful and exuberant personality. She was a joy to work with.
Mama Erma’s spirit was full of humor, kindness, and generosity. She believed in me during my difficult moments, even when I thought I couldn’t make it. We may not have seen each other since 2003 but her light was always felt. The balikbayan boxes, the random messages asking how I was. It’s ironic that her last message to me was “Love you both” to me and Bryanna. I hope the people who spent more time with her know how privileged they are to have their lives touched by her. She loved fiercely and she taught me to pass my blessings forward to those in need. I will carry that in my heart forever. I miss you greatly Mama Erma. Until we see each other again.
Auntie erma – our funny aunt. She always had a joke up her sleeve and she knew how to make people laugh.
She was so generous. She sent us boxes with groceries that overfilled our pantry. I will forever remember her in the pasta and tomato sauce i’d be so happy to receive.
She put other people’s needs first and went to great lengths to help her family and friends.
She was so full of love. She loved uncle Arlan so dearly and wholeheartedly. She loved her family deeply, even when we were far away.
I will forever cherish our memories, Auntie erma. Your love, kindness and generosity will live with us forever. Till we meet again. We love you.
Mama Erma was one of the kindest person I have ever met. He generosity beyond herself was amazing. She supported me, together with my parents, during my bar exam and for that I am and will be forveverever grateful. She has likewise helped others in need by her balikbayan boxes. Before she left for the U.S, she was always the funny one during family gatherings which made ua sad when she left. Even then, she would still be funny by sharing memes and funny anecdotes in facebok. We love you mama erma and we will miss you. Know you will always be remembered as one of the kindest souls💖
There is no other soul that has the same kind of mix of joy, wit, generosity, and kindness as Auntie Erma’s… she brought so much laughter, bonding and happiness to everyone around her, all the while being so perceptive of everyone’s needs and quirks. She makes people feel seen, and she does not hesitate to offer help when needed. This selflessness is such a rarity… and I am very blessed to call myself Auntie Erma’s niece… I will do my best to follow the model she has set — that is, to live with an open hand, to laugh with a joyful heart.
Thank you for everything Auntie Erma, we love you very much🤍💚
