Eveline Joyce (Crouch) Simon of Sherman, Texas passed away on August 19, 2019 at the age of 80.  She was born on December 30, 1938 to Claude Bryant and Vivian (Oakley) Crouch in Wilson, Oklahoma.  Eveline married Mathew Simon in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  Her special calling in life was to create a stable and welcoming home life.  She sacrificially poured her life into her sons, lavishing care and providing for their needs.  Eveline was especially grateful for her husband, whose hard work made it possible for her to be at home with her family.  Her life was noted for her faith in Christ, her kindness to people and her absolute love for family.  Eveline was a member of Gospel Chapel in Denison, Texas. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Eveline is survived by her sons, Richard Lee Simon of Florida and Chris Lee Simon of Sherman, Texas; several grandchildren; sisters, Gayzell Brown of Knollwood, Texas, Wilma Guilbeau of Houston, Texas, Corrine Guilbeau of Durant, Oklahoma and Janet Brown and husband, Kenneth of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, David Crouch of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Vivian Crouch; her husband, Mathew Simon; and her sisters, Belva Jean Lefler, Velva Ruth Douglas and Adelle Dickson.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2019 at Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texas officiated by Brett Pierce.
