Evelyn Conaster Day passed away quietly at home at the age of 91. She was born September 6, 1926 to James and Estelle Deering Conaster. She married Jack William Day on September 11, 1948.
Evelyn was a retired Unit Clerk at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman and volunteered at the Sherman Public Library for over 40 years. She graduated from Celina High School.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Peggy Umphress and her husband George of Garland and son Bill Day and his wife Beth of Bells, grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Morse and her husband Major Christopher Morse, Dr. Elizabeth Umphress and Patrick Williams, Christina Diane Yant and her husband Chad, April Day and Samantha Joe Day and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Bill Neal, Jr. of First Baptist Church in Bells will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Evelyn’s name to Sherman Public Library, 421 North Travis St., Sherman, TX 75090.
