August 17, 1928 –  January 3, 2012 Services for Evelyn Ruth Cobble, 83 year old Bells resident, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells, Reverend Houston Garner will officiate. Interment will follow at the Hebron Cemetery, north of Bells.
Evelyn was born August 17, 1928 in Denison, Texas to parents, Judson Cloer and Irene (Holder) Cloer. She and her family were displaced from their home when Lake Texoma was constructed. She graduated from Bells High School and married Thomas (Buss) Hugh Cobble on November 11, 1948 in Valleigo, California. She was a member of the Ambrose Church of Christ and worked over 20 years at the Bells Snap Center. She was also know as the “Cake Lady” due to her ability to bake delicious cakes.

Evelyn and Buss had two daughters who survive her; Louise Sanford and her husband, Eugene of Bells and Judith Powell of Bells. Other survivors include brother and his wife, Joe and Loretta Cloer of Savoy; Brothers-in-law, Grady and Larry Cobble and Ernie Powell; Sisters-in-law, Martha Mitchusson of Bells, Juanito Cato of Denison, and Betty Morrow and husband Thomas of Bells. Evelyn was blessed with four grandchildren, Greg and Jennifer Sanford of Poland, Thomas and Teri Sanford of Bells, Andrea Powell of Bells and Brandon Powell of Bells; seven great grandchildren, Elaney, Ethan, Matthew and Mackenzie Sanford, Jacye, Jaden and Jaxon Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Mary Cruson, Elcyon Kidd and Susie Cloer.

Those serving as pallbearers and honoary pallbearers are Billy Clark, Joe Lee Cloer, Donnie Powell, Eugene Sanford, Thomas Sanford, Brandon Powell, Grady Cobble, Jr., Troy Price and Greg Sanford.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2012.
