Gary Allen Stocklaufer of Bells, Texas passed away February 7, 2019 at the age of 72. He was born on June 1, 1946 to Harold W. Stocklaufer and Dorothy I. (Woodring) Stocklaufer in Deer Creek, Missouri.

Gary, a Missouri native, found his way to Texas via a truck driving job. Once there, he secured a position with Lattimore Materials, working for twenty-five years until retirement. More importantly, he met and married the “sunshine” of his life, Linda (Calvert) Stocklaufer. Gary was a hardworking man, and a man of integrity. He was good hearted and would help anyone in need. He was known for his humor and the fun he had while he was pranking his co-workers. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Gary was a homebody and thoroughly enjoyed being at home and working with his hands.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda Stocklaufer of Ambrose, Texas; stepson, Tommy Allen Simpson, Jr. of St. Jo, Missouri; grandchildren, Jacob, Patrick, Austin and Megan Baalson of Boise, Idaho and Ledger, Lawson and Berkley Simpson of St. Jo, Missouri; sister, Gloria Hess and husband John of Springfield, Missouri; nephews, Gary Lee Stocklaufer, wife Cindy and their kids Dakota and Bobby of Kansas City, Missouri and Kevin Stocklaufer, wife Emily and their kids Alexis and Kayle of Odessa, Missouri; niece, Katina Moody and husband Michael of Odessa, Missouri; niece, Misty Stewart, husband Doug and their son Chance of North Carolina; niece Tina Terry and her kids, Justin, Jessica, Kyle, Cynthia and Seth of Lansing, Michigan; and nephew, Philip Livermore Sr. and son Philip Livermore Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Stocklaufer; daughter, Tiffany Baalson; brothers, Harold Wayne Stocklaufer and Bill Lee Stocklaufer; sister, Reva Brooks and niece Teresa Livermore.

A memorial service will be February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Ambrose Baptist Church, 214 Munson St, Bells, Texas 75414.
