Georgia Ann Armstrong of Paris, Texas passed away December 1, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born February 7, 1941 in Brashear, Texas to V.O. Prim and Blanche Hazelwood (Prim). Georgia was a graduate of Sulphur Springs Highschool and went on to college at East Texas State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked for years as an accountant. She loved animals, many times caring for a stray animal nurturing them back to health. Georgia loved to play games, specifically cards. She also loved to travel and teach her children. Georgia was a wonderful mother, and thrived on providing her children extra activities such as dance and sports. She was known by so many people as a caregiver, nurturer and encourager. She especially found joy in caring for kids without family, she was fondly considered “grandmother”.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Sharon Motley of Athens, Texas; son, Adam Armstrong and wife, Marina of Richardson, Texas; grandsons, Marshall Motley of Oklahoma; Jared Motley of Athens, Texas; Dorian Armstrong of The Colony, Texas; Caspian Armstrong of Richardson, Texas; granddaughters, Isabel Armstrong of Richardson, Texas; Christa McCollum of Trenton, Texas; and Bailey McCollum of Whitewright, Texas; many beloved nieces and nephews along with many “adopted” grandchildren. She leaves a rich legacy of love, care, wisdom and nurture.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Don Armstrong; her parents, V.O. and Blanche Prim; and her son, Alfred Cody McCollum.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Mullican Little Funeral Home Chapel, 754 State Hwy 56 East, Bells, Texas 75414. Burial will follow at Little Jordan Cemetery in Savoy, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Mullican Little Funeral Home Chapel.
