November 25, 1918 –  December 18, 2014 Graveside services are planned for Gladys L. Pierce, 96 year old Savoy resident. Gladys passed away Thursday morning, December 18, 2014 at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy. She was ready and looked forward to meeting her Lord.
Gladys was born north of Savoy on November 25, 1918 to parents Charlie G. Hawk and Myrtle (Sanderson) Hawk. She married George Pierce in Bonham on October 2, 1943. George preceded her in death in 1984. Gladys was a member of the Savoy Church of Christ and worked as a cook before retirement. She is survived by her son, Chris Pierce and his wife Laura of Crystal Beach, Texas and by her brother, John Hawk & his wife Lorene, of Savoy.

The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy. The Graveside service will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M., at Fairview Cemetery, FM 2645, Ravenna. Mr. John Hawk, her brother, will conduct the service.

The family suggest that memorials be made to the Savoy Church of Christ.
