Glendon “Jimmy” Lee Reamer passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022 in Bells, Texas at the age 91. He was born on January 19, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to John D. and Elizabeth Lutie (Stanley) Reamer.

He married Martha Jean Flowers on Christmas Eve, 1950 in Bells at the home of his grandparents, Charles Peter and Allie Reamer. They were married 68 years and they were blessed with 48 descendants in four generations.

Jimmy was a man of immense physical and spiritual strength, he was a “Gentle Giant”. He trusted Christ as a 14-year-old in a revival at First Baptist Church Bells. He later was ordained a deacon and served 65 years there. A man of humility, faithfulness, and wisdom, whose life was saturated by the Scriptures.

Jimmy was an incredibly hard worker. In his younger years, his job at Fant Milling Company was handling 100 pound bags of flour all day. After work, he picked up milk from 20 different dairies in Grayson and Fannin counties. Then at home, he hauled hay and took care of his farm.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Neal  and husband Larry of Bells, Sherry Voight and husband Fred of Whitewright; son, John Charles Reamer of Bells; grandchildren, Teresa Hagood and husband Greg, Shane Neal, Randy Neal and wife  Brandi, Donnette Dodd, Christopher Reamer and wife Joanna, Tracy Allen and husband Doug, Angela Reamer and fiancé  Matt, Jeremy Reamer and wife Katie, Leslie McGee and husband Brad, Jonathan Alexander and wife Summer; 34 great-grandchildren; brother, John David Reamer; brother-in-law, Glen Flowers.

He was preceded in death by parents, J.D. and Lutie Reamer; wife, Martha Jean; son, Jimmy Alan Reamer; brother, Dan Reamer and wife Pat; sister-in-law, Ella Reamer.
