Helen was born on July 12, 1931, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Curtis and Ethel (Hayes) Taylor. She was the third child, with three brothers. Helen passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in the home of her son, Michael Musgrave, in Decatur, Texas—on his birthday.

Helen met her future husband, Bill Musgrave, in church, while they both attended Capitol Hill High School. They were married on May 27, 1950, at Capitol Hill Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.

Helen was a loving wife and a devoted mother who cared deeply for the needs of her family. She made her family a priority and always made time for them. Helen was always known for being an organized and efficient homemaker. Helen also enjoyed working in her yard, creating various rock structures and walkways to enhance the beauty of her yard. She was a treasured grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Musgrave; her parents, Curtis and Ethel Taylor; brothers, Leon, James, and Kenneth Musgrave.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Musgrave and wife Diane, Michael Musgrave and wife Angela; grandchildren, Trina Weaver and husband Larry, Michelle Musgrave, Melissa Musgrave, and Monica Borders and husband Alex; great grandchildren, Scotty Weaver and wife Melinda, April Perkins and husband Sam, Kinley, Alayna and Landon Borders, and Sydney Musgrave Smith; great great grandchildren, Elanor and Adelaide Weaver, and Gerry-Anne Perkins; and her fur baby Buffy.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
