January 4, 1925 –  November 14, 2011 Clarence was a gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. He had a giant heart, full of compassion and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Clarence was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater as a part of the “Fighting Sea Bees”. He spent the majority of his life working as a truck driver traveling across the country and looking for the “next load”. After retiring from the truck he was always looking for work to do, and there were many days when he could be foung on a riding lawnmower mowing everyone’s lawn in the neighborhood. He married Ida Pearl “Lums” Thrasher on September 9, 1946. They were married for 57 years until her death in 2004. He was a member of Kentuckytown Baptist Church in Whitewright, TX.
