Cookie Capehart age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Ector, Texas on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Cookie was born on January 5, 1941 in Bonham, Texas the son of Jim and Flora Mae Stokes Capehart. He married Tommie Joyce Warner on December 11, 1993. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2004.

A time to visit with James’ family and friends will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Bring your memories and stories and fellowship with us at that time.

James retired as a lineman for Verizon. He was a dedicated employee who served the public as he would be served. If your phone went out of order all you had to do was run Cookie down and he would stop what he was doing and come help you out. The “company” probably didn’t know that. He loved cattle, horses and team penning. He loved people especially his family. His family was his world. To know Cookie Capehart was to love him.

Cookie is survived by his mother Flora Mae Capehart of Savoy, his children whom he loved dearly son Kenneth Howery and his wife Rhonda, son Rick Beatty and his wife Sabrina, daughters Sherri McClain-Capehart and her husband John of Bonham, Tina Ball and her husband Terry, Michelle Everheart and her husband Jim of Ivanhoe and Felecia Hubbard and her husband Mark of Denison, sister Debra Head and her signifant other Charles Winnett of Ector, grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, Wendi, Brandi, Shane, Gary, Darrah, Victoria, and William, niece Jacque Graham and nephew James David Head and their families. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Jimmy Wayne Capehart.
