Heaven welcomed another angel when Jean Gentleman-Wynn gained her wings on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in Bells, Texas.  A dear, longtime friend of the family said, “Jeannie is doing something for someone in heaven, as she was always ready to do here on earth,” (thank you J.B.).

Jeannie was born May 29, 1961 in Crawford, Nebraska to William “Bill” and Dorothy (Darlington) Gentleman. As a 1979 graduate of Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas, she was part of a team that qualified for state competition in track. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at West Texas A&M University.  Later, Jeannie inspired by the deep love of her grandchildren, earned a registered nursing degree through Amarillo College.  Jeannie was a fiercely determined champion for excellence in all that she did, and a totally compassionate, loving, and benevolent angel of mercy.  Whether it was in her career as a bartender, or throughout her career as pharmaceutical drug representative, to her last career in life as a traveling RN, caring for the sickest of sick, and easing the pain and suffering of both patients and their loved ones – Jeannie was an earth angel.  She was, and likely still is, always on the lookout for how and where she can serve.  Next to her love for God and Jesus, Jeannie loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her husband Ed Wynn of Amarillo; children, Tina Patterson of Anderson, Missouri; Donny Wynn and wife Jill of Canton, Mississippi; Nathan Wynn of Amarillo; and Will Ed Wynn and wife, Leslie of The Colony, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Amanda Boone, J.T. Patterson, Lynell Patterson, Easton Wynn, Cayden Wynn, Barrett Wynn, Brady Wynn, William Wynn, Makenzi Wynn, Aynslee Wynn, Lily Claire Wynn, Bryson Wynn and nine great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Janet Gentleman-Ingersoll and husband Tim; Jill Fanous and husband George, Clinton “Mac” Gentleman, and Robert Gentleman along with extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy Gentleman, brother, Bill Gentleman, Jr. and granddaughter, Ashlynn Maddox Wynn.

Donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Research or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
