Jeffery Charles Wortham passed away peacefully in Denison, Texas on February 24, 2021 at the age of 60. Jeff was born February 8, 1961 in Sherman, Texas to Charles Wortham and Ann Brown Wortham.
Jeff was an “old soul”, who respected the older generation for their experience and wisdom. His long career in agriculture fertilizer sales connected him with a generation of old-fashioned famers. He valued the old ways and was eager to learn from them and perpetuate their methods. Later, he became a custom hay baler who took great pride and meticulous care of his customers.
He was a man who kept his own company well. Jeff found strength and structure from being on his own place among his many cats. But he was also willing to help out people who had a genuine need, such as killing snakes in the chicken house!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ann Wortham and Miss B his favorite cat.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Wortham and wife Kim of Bells, Texas; nephew, Gary Lynn Wortham and wife Claire and their children Gavin and Annie of Whitewright, Texas; nieces, Mandee Wilkinson and husband Daniel and their children Haylee and Kaydee of Keller,Texas, Mindee Mata and husband Rafe and their children, Andon, Isabella, Alyee, and R.J. of Rusk, Texas; nephew, Josh Nunley and wife Leslie and their children, Joslyn and Lexi of Beaumont, Texas
Jeff chose to have no services.
Thanks to Laurie with Med Data at TMC for all of her hard work to expediate paperwork for financial assistance. Special thanks to Jeff and Edwina Miller, for being “good neighbors”.
