Jim Glendon Neasbitt passed away in the early morning of August 15, 2021 at the age of 61 surrounded by his wife Lynette and children Jody, Jamie, and Korey. Jim was born on September 3, 1959 to Alta June and James Edward Neasbitt in Plainview, Texas where the family later relocated to Bells, Texas. Jim graduated from Bells High School, class of 1977 and remained a resident of Bells until his passing. Jim married his wife, Lynette, on September 5, 1991 and would have celebrated 30 years together.

Jim spent most of his adult life as a cross country truck driver which he thoroughly enjoyed and shared numerous trips with his family, so they too could experience the open road he loved so much. More recently Jim was an employee of the Grayson County PCT 2 for 11 years. But what defines Jim wasn’t his strong work ethic to provide for his family, Jim was a loving and thoughtful husband, a caring father and grandfather, a devoted son and brother, and a loyal friend who loved to laugh and make others laugh with him. Jim enjoyed fishing and camping but as he got older the true joy that he reveled in was the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing would put a bigger smile on his face than a phone or video call with the children he loved, exceeded only by the times he got to hug and love on them in person.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Neasbitt, his sister Debra June Neasbitt, and brother Joe Eddie Neasbitt.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lynette Neasbitt of Bells, Texas; mother, Alta June Bowser of Denison, Texas; brother, Johnny Neasbitt and wife Maudie of Denison, Texas; son, Jody Neasbitt and daughter-in-law Molly Neasbitt of Washington Township, Ohio; daughter, Jamie Neasbitt of Sheridan, Arkansas; son, Robert Korey Lee of Bells, Texas; 5 grandchildren (KaLeigh, Robby, Xander, Luke and Jackson) and his great grandson Levi.

The family will remember and celebrate Jim’s life on Saturday August 21, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mullican-Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 E.  Bells, Texas 75414.
