January 28, 1932 –  November 17, 2014 Johnny Rigsby age 82, formerly of Savoy, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ with his family at his side. Johnny was born in Altus, Oklahoma on January 28, 1932 to Johnny and Sadie Jones Rigsby. He married Dorothy Alice Shelley on April 9, 1952 in Sherman, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Savoy, Texas. Reverends Bill Sessom and Chris Merritt will officiate. Graveside services will be at 9:00AM Friday at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends after the funeral service at the church.

Johnny graduated from Randolph High School and served in the United States Air Force. Johnny was a member of Forrest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas. He retired as a Customer Service Engineer from I.B.M. after 25 years of service.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 62 years Dorothy of the home, sons Johnny “Dee” Rigsby and his wife Deborah of Austin and Walter Alan Rigsby and his wife Lilly of Spring, Texas, grandchildren Joshua Rigsby and wife Ashley of Wylie, Christopher Rigsby and wife Jamie of Austin and Shelley Jannati and husband Drew of McKinney, great grandchildren Cash & Carter Rigsby, sister Anna Grace Holt of Sherman and brother Walter Rigsby and wife Jane of Mesquite plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lila Pratt, Faye Taylor, Charlene Brookins and Martha Sloan and 2 nephews.
