October 24, 1944 –  March 23, 2015 Joyce Saltsman McLerran, 70 of Trenton, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at home with her family at her side. She was born October 24, 1944 in Sanger, Texas to George and Ruby Bland Saltsman. She married Glenn W. McLerran, Jr. on June 7, 1963 in Pilot Point, Texas. She was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ. She retired as a dietary manager at Lindal Park Nursing Home and also worked at nursing homes in Savoy and Sherman and Texoma Medical Center. She at one time owned and operated The Feed Mill in Ector, Texas.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Mr. Quinn Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the funeral home.

Joyce was a wonderful person who showed love to everyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger. She was caring and beautiful inside and out, always smiling. She loved life, her family and friends. She was famous for her good home cooked meals. Joyce loved the Lord and wanted to go to Heaven. Her pride and joy were her grandsons Schuyler, Carson and Caden.

Joyce’s strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayer of family and friends carried her throughout her past seven years.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years Glenn W. McLerran, Jr. of Trenton, daughter Connie Holcomb and her husband Kevin of Wimberly, son Craig McLerran of Dallas, son Chad McLerran and his wife Dana of Van Alstyne, sisters Dorothy Elrod of Artesia, New Mexico and Mary Jane Joyner of Omaha, NE., and three precious grandsons Schuyler Holcomb, Carson McLerran and Caden McLerran as well as a host of nieces and nephews and in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Phillip and William Saltsman and sisters Alta Elrod, Patsy Caraway and Linda Bradford.
