Eugene Sanford age 69 passed away Saturday at his home with his family at his side. Eugene was born September 7, 1948 in the Cherry Mound Community to Earl and Mattie Mitchusson Sanford. On August 30, 1968 he married Louise Cobble in Cherry Mound.
Funeral services for Eugene will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Reverend Wally Butts of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherry Mound Cemetery.

Eugene was a self employed Master Electrician/Electrical Contractor. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Bells Masonic Lodge #798. He was also a past member of the Scottish Rites and Shriners. Eugene was a member of IBEW and Local Union #20, Denison Elks Lodge #238 and the First United Methodist Church in Bells.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 49 years Louise of the home, sons Gregory Sanford and his wife Jennifer of Indonesia and Thomas Sanford and his wife Teri of Bells, grandchildren Elaney Sanford and Tyler Scheller of Whitewright, Ethan Sanford of College Station, Matthew Sanford of Georgetown and Mackenzie Sanford of Indonesia, great grandchild Laken Scheller, brother-in-law Joe Ayers of Sherman, sister-in-law Judith Powell of Bells, nieces Diann Spencer and Andrea Powell and nephew Brandon Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Ayers.

Serving as Eugene’s pallbearers will be Donnie Powell, Grady Cobble, Billy Clark, Billy Dale Cloer, Joe Lee Cloer, and Jeff Spencer.

Eugene’s family will receive friends from 9:00AM until 10:00AM Tuesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
