Lela “Lee” Beth Lucas of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 15, 2021 at age 76 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Savoy, Texas to Arnie R. Price and Flora Mae Glanton on January 29, 1945.

Lee had a 40 plus year career with Texas Instruments/Raytheon where she formed several lifelong friendships. She was a well-spirited lady with a special humor, who enjoyed brightening other’s day with her contagious laughter. She was a mentor who trained and instructed many peers with their passions. Lee was a dependable employee with a strong work ethic.

Her grandson, Tyler was one of her greatest joys. She never missed a game in which he participated. She knew just how to spoil him and he would do the same for his “Gram”. They had a very special bond; it was a joyous and memorable occasion when Gram danced at his wedding this past July. Lee was so proud of Tyler in becoming a physician and cheered him along at each milestone along his path.

Lee was an ardent Christian and a committed member of Loving Baptist Church, Sherman. She taught the Bible in Sunday School, occasionally served as worship leader and was known for her faith in the Lord. For years, she regularly volunteered at Center Street Nursing Home. At Christmas, she made certain each resident received a gift.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents, A.R. and Flora Mae Price; brothers, Neil Price, Grady Price, Teddie Price; sisters, Jerrie Price, Dorothy Riviere.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Lucas of Sherman, Texas; grandson, Tyler Cobbs and wife Rachael of Tulsa, Oklahoma; along with extended family and friends.
