Leon Melvin Grossman passed away April 18, 2018 at Texoma Heath Care Center in Sherman, Texas at the age of 89.
He was born on March 1, 1929 to Henry Grossman and Katherine (Bruening) Grossman in Canute, Washita County, Oklahoma.

He married Nelda Lou Solomon on May 25, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Leon was employed at Rock Island Railroad as a telegrapher for forty-two years.

Leon is survived by his wife Nelda of seventy years, one son Clifton Lee Grossman and wife Darla of Lake Dallas, Texas; one daughter Luann Kaye Grossman of Texas City, Texas; four grandchildren, Dawn Grossman Foust and husband Jay of Stanley, North Carolina, Christy Grossman Sackett and husband Byron of Denver, North Carolina, Stevia Hedgcoxe of Kingman, Arizona, Kayla Killingsworth of Texas City, Texas; five great grandchildren Kendall, Cooper, and Zander, Jacob and Jaden.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Catherine Grossman and his brother Leroy R. Grossman.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mullican Little Funeral Chapel in Bells, Texas.
