Linda Maria Gonzales King, 60, of Emory, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2025. She was born on July 28, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to Jesse and Ellen (Kellogg) Gonzales.
Linda lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She found joy in the simple things—playing darts, tending her garden, fishing, and hunting. She loved nothing more than a good BBQ cookout surrounded by family, friends, and her beloved fur babies.
A dedicated volunteer and community supporter, Linda was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Pasadena, Texas, and the Elks Lodge in Kemah, Texas. She also participated in and volunteered for the Pasadena Livestock and Rodeo, where her giving spirit and hardworking nature left a lasting impression on many. One of the cornerstones of Linda’s life was her unwavering dedication to Sisters Helping Sisters (SHS). For many years, she was a tireless volunteer, dedicating countless hours to SHS.
Linda had a heart of gold and was known for her selflessness—she would truly give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. Her compassion extended to animals as well, and she adored her pets throughout her life.
She is survived by her mother, Ellen Gonzales of Sherman, Texas; siblings Jesse Gonzales Jr. and wife Joyce of Humble, Texas, Russell Gonzales of Conroe, Texas, Susan Gonzales Powell of Pasadena, Texas, Mary Helen Keefe and husband Shane of Austin, Texas, Patrick Gonzales of La Porte, Texas, Garrett Sandlin and wife Kelley of Richmond, Texas, Carol Moore and husband Jerry of Savoy, Texas, and Kellie Piotrowski and husband Russell of Leander, Texas; two cousins who were more like sisters, Sheri Meek and Deann Helms; four aunts; one uncle; 24 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; two goddaughters, Sassy Starnes and Arin Ulmer; and her cherished fur babies, Jay and Jake.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Gonzales; three siblings, Andre Gonzales, Thomas Gonzales, and David Gonzales; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved fur babies, Miss Kitty, JoJo, and Jody.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all she was one of the best friends I could’ve ever had, and I am truly blessed to have been able to spend and have her here with me a few years that I did in Emory. She was an amazing woman. I will forever ever love her.
You will be missed my friend. I love you. Till we see each other again.
I only recently met Linda and she was everything you described.
Beautiful and funny but also real and genuine. She will be missed.
Prayers for the family as you go through this time.
Almost a decade ago she walked into my home accompanied by #SHSAngel Sue Jeter Rudy. She fell in love with our mission and stole our hearts. Linda Gonzales King found her place as head volunteer of our Sisters Helping Sisters Thelma Quinn Coborn Memorial Ride for the Angels in 2016. She then came to me in 2017 and said, I want to do more, I want to be a sponsor. I told her she was already doing enough, but she wanted both. Her favorite was for our annual SHS Angel Christmas Celebration which I had literally just announced today and sent her invite to the event hours before receiving the news. She held both positions from 2017 until early this afternoon. Now she holds a much higher position as she sits in His Great Kingdom.
I not once had to worry about what was going on at San Jacinto Harley-Davidson. I knew she had everything under control. She built a team, and they worked together like no others.
It is a very sad day for us at Sisters Helping Sisters Fishing Tournament.
You will be greatly missed Linda Gonzales King and I Pray you know how much you were loved and appreciated. You did God’s work while you were here in your earthly body. You Choose Love.
When you create a team that becomes a family, there is great love but with that comes great pain when we must say goodbye.
Today we are in pain. We will all remember you forever. Thank you, sister.
Now, you fly with the Angels. You #madeadiffence in hundreds of lives. You were a Blessing.

I met Linda many years ago when she welcomed my son and me into the Gonzales family. She will be missed by all. Sending my Prayers and love to her family.
Fly High My Friend!
Linda was part of our family and we will miss her tremendously. She married our brother and was very much a sister to my sister and myself. My mother and grandmother (Nana) loved her so much. She helped care for Nana before she passed on. She arranged our brother’s wake at her church. Linda was always helping others with a kind and generous heart. She was truly one of the good ones. I’m glad that she got to spend her last year near her mom and family. We will miss you sister! I’m sorry I missed your services and meeting your family again. Love Jeri and Kris
Linda was a daughter to me. She was always there for me no matter when or where I needed help. She will always be in my heart till we are together again. Linda is my angel watching over me today. Praising the Lord for the years you were in my life and for all the wonderful memories I have.
