Linda Ruth Harvey of Savoy passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Denison. She was born June 26, 1945 to James Edward Blakey and Daisy “Criger” Blakey in Sherman, Texas.

Linda married Roger Harvey on February 25, 1966 in Savoy in the home of her parents. They loved and laughed and worked together for 55 years. They were blessed with two boys, Jeff and Scott.

She was a fiery, self-determined red headed beauty. Even though she had her own thoughts and ways, but she could also be very understanding and loving. Linda loved her husband, her boys and their wives. She was an excellent cook, especially known for her cakes, apricot cake, red velvet, lemon or any kind of cake. Her chocolate pies were second to none. Her fried chicken was absolutely delicious.

Linda worked for many years at Mullican Care Center as a Nurse Assistant and she excelled in personal care to her patients. She was a true friend who valued her friendships. Linda will be grievously missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Daisy Blakey; brother, James Blakey.

She is survived by her husband, Roger D. Harvey of Savoy; sons, Jeff Harvey and wife Tina, and Scott Harvey and wife Dee Anna all of Savoy; brother, Frank Blakey and wife Martha of Whitewright; sisters-in-law’s, Ellen Blakey of Whitewright, and Robbie Clinton of Ambrose; brother-in-law’s, Sam Harvey, Dannie Joe Harvey and wife Denise of Savoy along with many nieces and nephews and extended family.

A ‘come and go” visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Mullican Little Funeral Home Chapel 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414 at 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy, Texas at 1:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 masks will be required at the visitation and graveside service, and social distancing will be requested.
