March 21, 1941 –  August 21, 2016 Martha “Mott” Jane Moore was born March 21, 1941 and went to be with the Lord on The Lord’s Day August 21, 2016 at her residence with her family at her side. She was the daughter of Ray and Frances Rowland Hough. On January 16, 1960 she married Billy Moore at the Bells United Methodist Church in Bells, Texas.
Mott was active in the Bells school district for many years and was one of the founders of the Supporters of Bells Youth, which supports the Bells FFA Chapter to this day. She later opened her own daycare called “The Animal House”. She loved seeing the children she watched as babies and toddlers grow up to raise families of their own. As time went on she retired and decided to enjoy the time with her husband and watch her many grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. There was not a ballgame, livestock show, wedding, baby shower or birthday party that she missed. She was a member of the Bells United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Mott will be at 10:00AM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mott’s family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mott is survived by her loving husband Billy Wayne Moore of the home, children and their spouses or significant others, Cindy and David Berend, Debbie Scoggins and Kenney Drake, Patty and Duane Daniel and Michael and Shari Moore, and brother Larry Hough. Her house was always filled with love and chaos with her 9 grandkids and eventually their spouses as well. They include Joe Berend and Lindsey Kern, Frannie and Shane Hesse, Haley and Del Cruz, Casey and Chelsey Scoggins, Hannah and Roy Becerra, Billy and Emily Daniel, Makayla and Jeremy Moore, Ray Lawson and Scott and Bethany Lawson. Within a few years she was blessed with 15 great grandkids that became the light in her world.

Mott was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Dottie and Bob Russ and her granddaughter Olivia Cruz.

Mott’s grandsons will serve as casket bearers.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials in Mott’s name be made to the Supporters of Bells Youth, 1500 Ole Ambrose Rd., Bells, TX 754l4.
