January 4, 1943 –  September 4, 2014 Melba Raylene Johnson, 71 year old resident of Bells, died at Medical Center of McKinney on Thursday, September 4, 2014 with family by her side. Funeral services for Melba are set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at The Christian Center, 720 E. Plato Road, Duncan, Oklahoma with Reverend James Miller officiating. Melba will be buried beside other family members at the Marlow Cemetery, Duncan, Oklahoma. The family will have a luncheon at the church at noon prior to the funeral service.
Melba was born January 4, 1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma to parents Ray Anderson Martin and Melba (Miller) Martin. She married Gayle Johnson on March 30, 1963 and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Gayle of Bells; son, Ronald Johnson and wife Rachelle of Sherman; brother, Jimmy Martin of Marlow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Thomas and Laura Vinson, Whitney Glatt, Jessica Miller, Richard, Alexis and Summer Johnson; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma from 6 – 8 P.M., Monday, September 8, 2014.
