Michael Anthony Lynch passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 26, 1956 at Harris Hospital to Robert and Patricia Lynch.

Michael proudly served in the United States Navy for ten years, following in the footsteps of his birth father. He served on the U.S.S. Missouri as a steam propulsion maintenance supervisor during the Persian Gulf War. He often said joining the Navy was the best thing that ever happened to him, it gave him direction, structure, and purpose. He fully intended to make the Navy a career but an unfortunate car accident resulted in a medical discharge. He was patriotic to the core and gladly served our country.

Michael was a born again Christian who was actively involved in The Way Christian Fellowship in Savoy.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Robert James Lynch, and Ed Wendorf, Jr., who raised him; sister, Linda Kay Neal.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann (Hulen) Wendorf; sister, Deborah Jean Wendorf and husband Jerry Booher; brother, Ed Wendorf III and wife Teresa; children, Alvernita Chantel Payne, Levon “Henry” Lynch, Michael A. Lynch, Jr.; along with many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Mullican Little Funeral Home. His ashes will be inurned at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. His family requests donations be made in Michael’s name to The Way Christian Fellowship or St. Jude (stjude.org)
