Funeral services for Patsy Mae Neal, long time resident of Luella will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Luella First Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Hawkins & Reverend David Gaddy officiating. Those serving as Pallbearers are Chance Gorham, Riley Neal, Jack Neal, Gary Morrison, Steve Harris and Gower Lester. A family visitation will be form 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday October 20, 2017 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells, TX.
Patsy Mae Neal was born on Dec. 20, 1933 in Ida, TX to Herbert and Willie Mae Smith. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1951 and married Douglas Neal in 1953. Patsy worked at Gibson’s Department Store until it closed and then went to work at Piggly Wiggly until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Karen Gorham and husband Steve Gorham of Abilene TX, Terri Damme and husband Ray Damme of Tye, TX and Brian Neal and wife Meredith Neal of Savoy TX; grandchildren Melanie Damme Hall of Frisco TX, Staff Sgt. Chance Gorham of Hickam AFB, Honolulu Hawaii, Riley Neal of Baylor University, Waco TX, Midshipman Jack Neal of the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis MD and Landry Neal of Savoy TX. Patsy is also survived by sisters Bula Harris and Barbara Morrison both of Luella and Joyce Sonamaker of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Bill Smith and Jimmy Joe Smith
Patsy enjoyed spending time with family and friends and taking trips with her sisters, sister in law and especially with her special friend Pete Ireland.
