Plez Douglas Young, age 76, of Bells, Texas, passed away February 15, 2018 in Sherman. He was born on October 29, 1941 in Rattan, Oklahoma to John Plez Young and Annie (Deaton) Young.
Plez was an active member of the American Quarter Horse Association, National Rifle Association, and American Cutting Horse Association. He was also a member of the Central Texas Quarter Horse Association and served as President as well as on the Board of Directors.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda Young of Bells, Texas; sons, Mike Young and wife Marie of Justin, Texas, Robert Young of Waco, Texas and Brian Young and wife Amber of Whitesboro, Texas; stepdaughters, Michelle Southerland and husband Mark of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Stephanie Manning of Early, Texas; stepsons, Jeremiah Bragg of Bells, Wayne Coomer and wife Cookie of Decatur, Texas, and Geary Coomer and wife Shelley of Duncanville, Texas; sisters, Cledith Ray and husband Joe of Paris, Texas, and Pat Lankford and husband Larry of Hutto, Texas; brothers, Larry Young and wife Cheryl of Savoy, Texas, and Roger Young and wife Pat of Winnsboro, Texas; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-grandson on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Plez was preceded in death by his parents, Plez and Annie Young; wife, Joyce Carolyn Young; and wife, Gwynella F. Young.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Chris Merritt, Brother Bill Sessom and Jeremy Sweet. Pallbearers will be Mike Young, Robert Young, Brian Young, Jeremy Stockard, Dylan Young, Reed Young, and John Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Bragg and Geary Coomer. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, February 19 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
