Randall “Randy” Wayne Watson passed away peacefully on May 2, 2021 in Live Oak, Texas at the age of 53 after he fought a long and arduous battle against pancreatic cancer and liver disease. Randy was born at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas to Wayne Watson and Peggy Watson on November 20, 1967. On February 13, 1983, Randy was saved.

After graduating from Savoy high school, he attended Austin College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He worked for Wilson company for twelve years as the purchasing manager until his health prevented him from working any longer. When he began working at Wilson company is when he met his wife, Lori. They were just co-workers and friends until both of them found themselves single at the same time. Love and fate had brought them together. They were married on October 17, 2020.

Randy was loved dearly by his family and many good friends. He was a proud father of his children and a proud Pepaw of his four grandchildren. He is best described as a man of love and compassion, forgiveness and kindness. He loved fishing, hunting and metal detecting. He also enjoyed cooking and shopping for his every need at HEB.

Randy was preceded in death by his fathers, Wayne Watson and Kenneth Caplinger.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Watson and her children Ashley Cammack and boyfriend Robert Parisi, Austin Cammack and wife Katelyn; mother, Peggy Caplinger; sons, Bryce Watson and fiancé Brandi Templeton, Christopher Thomas and girlfriend Rachel Olsen; stepdaughter, Kortni Feist; sisters, Cindy Downs and Candy Nelson; brother, Kenny Caplinger; nephews, Chad Downs and family, Kyle Caplinger and family, Kole Caplinger and Austin Caplinger; nieces, Brittney Gorton and family, Autumn Caplinger and her daughter; grandchildren, Skilar Feist, Xander Feist, Deekin Feist, Connor Cammack; his best friend, Jeff Francis and family; and his dear friend, Brian Neal and family; along with numerous other family members and special friends.

Due to Covid-19 a private family service celebrating Randy will be held at Mullican Little Funeral Home. The family has requested that masks be worn during the service and social distancing is requested. The family asks to limit the number of people at the service to please watch the live Facebook feed on Randy’s Facebook profile on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 6PM.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research at //lustgarten.org/donate/
