January 5, 1939 –  September 17, 2015 Dr. Raymond and Becky Allen left their earthly home on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Denison, Texas. They were long time residents of Grayson County and successful business owners of World Wide Stereo in Sherman for nearly 30 years. While married for 52 years, Ray and Becky enjoyed spending time with their family traveling, fishing, RVing, and playing with their beloved dog, Rocky.
Becky was born on March 14, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas. She met Ray while she was working at Hemphill’s Bookstore at The University of Texas at Austin in 1963. Becky worked for the Allen Independent School District before leaving to start up the family business, World Wide Stereo. In addition to these accomplishments, Becky was also a breast cancer survivor and always had a confident outlook during her treatments. Becky’s father, Louis Gutierrez, preceded her in death, and her stepmother, Saymon Gutierrez, survives her.

Ray was born on January 5, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. He earned his B.S. and PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was also a professor for 5 years. Ray worked at Texas Instruments as an Electrical Engineer for over 10 years and then left to join Becky at World Wide Stereo. Ray’s father, Wallace Best Allen, and mother, Florence Marie Allen, precede him in death. His brothers and their wives, Dan and Martha Jo Allen from Escondido, CA, and Bob and Martha Allen, from Midlothian, TX, survive Ray.

Their surviving children include: Debra and Ron Turek, Marty and Laurana Allen, Frank and Bobbie Landin, Richard Allen, and Ray Jr. and Ann Allen. Their grandchildren include: Michael Turek, Steven Turek, Kyle and Ashley Allen, Lindsay Allen, Ray Allen III, Marissa Allen, Kelsey Landin, Meagan Landin, and Chris Allen. Their great grandchildren include: Jaxon Hendrix and Charlie Allen.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 25, 2015 at Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
