Rex was born June 8, 1929, in Dover, Montana to Rex and Beulah George Warren. He married Martha Ann Jernigan in 1951 in Bells, Texas. Rex was a Mason and served his country in the Marines during the Berlin Airlift of World War II, and shortly after that in the Army and Air Force. While stationed at Perrin Air Force Base (near Sherman, Texas) he met Martha Jernigan. They were married in 1951 in Bells, Texas, and were transferred to Orlando, Florida.

After the service, Rex and Martha moved back to North Texas, eventually settling in Arlington where Rex went to night school at Arlington State College (now UTA) to study computer technology. He worked as a computer programmer for TEMCO, LTV, and later Braniff Airlines. After Braniff ceased operations, they retired and became full time antique dealers. They traveled the country doing antique shows and had retail space in several antique malls in the area. Rex was the ultimate packer and organizer, and during their time as antique dealers he was often heard telling Martha, “If it won’t fit in a chicken box, you can’t buy it!”

Rex was a family man who loved being around his family, people watching, selling antiques, The Cowboys, golf, conservatives, funny sayings, reading, and traveling around the country.

Rex was a brave and self-assured man, with a big smile, and a warm heart. He walked tall. If you ever needed to know right from wrong, he was the man to ask. We are thankful that Rex was our husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle; and we miss him dearly.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael; and sister Shirley Patricia Dominiak. Rex is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Martha Ann; daughters, Tamara and husband Larry Robbins; Kimberly Warren; son Kevin Warren; grandchildren, Jason Warren; Shawn Robbins and wife Mecca; Faith and husband Corey Adamson; Amber Robbins; Kyle Warren and wife Jess; Warren Carlson and wife Megan; Cody Warren; and Cheyenne Warren; sister Bonnie Grassi of California; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
