Charles Robert Bishop was born June 13, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Charles Lee Bishop and Anna Jean Green Bishop. He died in Baylor Scott and White Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas on January 12, 2021.

Robert was a man of selected passions; a gifted artist who was skilled at drawing, sketching, and painting. He had an excellent eye for color, dimension, and depth. He found tremendous satisfaction in art. This giftedness extended beyond his art to anything mechanical. He could repair or build almost any engine, having an innate understanding of how engines function and how they should be maintained. His sense of art also found expression in landscaping and his job at Woodlawn Country Club was a perfect outlet to create with flower and trees. Robert could plant, mix, and blend flowers in beds of various colors and texture related to the seasons of the year. He meticulously mowed and groomed the greens and fairways at Woodlawn. Finally, he was avid golfer, investing much time of leisure and recreation in the game he loved.

He was noted for his keen sense of humor with the exquisite timing of a comic, joking with a running dialogue of everyday life situations, especially joking about parents raising children. Ironic humor- he never had children but he was not deterred in offering up advice blended with humor and laughter. His death leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him.

Robert is survived by sisters, Cathie Tribble and Sabrina Williams both of Sherman; brother, Dusty Brannum of Arlington, Texas, Dad, Bryon Brannum of Sherman plus an extended family of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bishop and Jean Brannum and his brother Tommy Jack Bishop.
