March 24, 1950 –  January 18, 2016 Funeral services for Jackie Turbeville will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, January 23, 2015 at Hebron Baptist Church. Reverend Bill Neal, Jr. of First Baptist Church of Bells will officiate. Burial will follow in Washburn Cemetery.
Jackie passed away Monday, January 18, 2015 at his residence in Bells. He was born March 24, 1950 in Greenville, Mississippi to William and Jeanette Smith Turbeville. He was a member of Benoit Union Church in Benoit, MS and attended Hebron Baptist Church in Bells. He graduated from Benoit High School in 1969 and attended Moorhead College. Jackie worked for Straight King Lure Company in Mississippi and was a Pro Bass Fisherman winning many trophies and boats. He was also a licensed pilot. Jackie was a professional fishing guide on Lake Fork when he moved to Texas. He owned and operated Jackie’s Southern Catfish for over eleven years in Bells. At the time of his death Jackie was employed at the Bells I.S.D. where he made many small friends that called him “Mr. Jackie”, and he loved every one of them. Jackie was an avid fisherman and a hunter and he loved attending the Bells Panther ball games.

Jackie is survived by his sister and her husband Jeanell and Charlie Harris of Bells, brothers William “Otis” and his wife Stella Turbeville of Memphis, TN and Francis “Frank” and his wife Jeanine Turbeville of Arlington and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Virgil Earl Turbeville.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00AM Saturday before the service at Hebron Baptist Church.
