January 29, 1940 –  August 27, 2012 Robert “Mike” Parker of Denison, Texas went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Bonham, TX. He was born January 29, 1940 in Denison, TX, the son of William and Ann Wortham Parker. He married Georgia Howard on August 29, 1973 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mike operated heavy equipment, worked on all kinds of equipment, bought, sold and traded tractors and equipment. He loved being around people and going to equipment sales all over North Texas. Mike graduated from Ector Schools and served two terms in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of both the Bells and Mosse Lodge. He was a proud member of the Bois d’ Arc Cowboy Church in Bonham, Texas.

Mike is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Georgia Parker of Denison; daughters Kelley Parker of Ector & Kimberly Minick & her husband Mark of Austin; step-son Ronnie Oswalt & wife Debbie of Ector; brother Johnny Parker & his wife Patricia of Bonham; grandchildren Alida & Jarrod Anderson, Jake & Lauren Minick, Jennifer Smith, John Wilk & Alicia Loring; 6 great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel. Reverend Kevin Lane of Bois d’ Arc Cowboy Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Those serving as Pallbearers for Mike are O.B. Powers, Jarrod Anderson, Mark Minick, B.J. White, Matt Curry, John Wilk, and Charlie Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
