Susan Dell (Taylor) Johnson, age 69, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, at her home near Bells, Texas. She was born on May 2, 1956, in Bonham, Texas to David and Aylene (Dees) Taylor.

She spent most of her life in the Cooke, Grayson, and Fannin County areas. She graduated from Savoy High School in 1974.

Susan was first married to Jon Daniel. During Jon’s service in the United States Army, the couple lived in El Paso, Texas, and Greece—experiences she fondly shared throughout her life. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends until her passing. She later married Donald “Don” Eugene Cook, and they made their home in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2000. In 2007, she married Glenn Johnson. They lived in Denison for several years before settling permanently near Bells, Texas. Glenn passed away in 2018.

Susan dedicated thirty years of service to Cigna Insurance in Denison, Texas, retiring in 2020. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Aylene, and her sister, Judy, Susan had a deep love for quilting. They shared countless hours searching for fabrics and designs for new projects. Susan also enjoyed reading, creating stained glass, flower arranging, and cake decorating—talents that reflected her creativity and love for learning.

Susan is survived by her sister, Karen Rose and husband Jerry of McAlester, Oklahoma; nephews, Greg Miller of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Damon Taylor of Japan; and niece, Jennifer Reynolds of Sherman, Texas. She is also survived by several cousins from the Taylor and Dees families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Aylene Taylor; her sister, Judy Stuever; her brother, Leland Murl Taylor; her husbands, Don Cook and Glenn Johnson; and a niece, Amber Dawn Taylor Olquin.

Susan’s cremation arrangements are entrusted to Mullican-Little Funeral Home of Bells, Texas. At this time, no services are planned. A memorial may be held at a later date.
