Wild and loving, stubborn and free. just some of the words to describe the tenacious soul that left this world on the morning of August 29, 2021. Her smile so infectious that even the most hardened hearts left her presence a little bit softened. A smile-she passed to her two surviving daughters Kathyrnn Donee’ Walker of Jacksonville, Florida, and Michaela Kyle Walker of Denison, Texas; as well as two step children, Brandi Lynn Miller of Denison and Dianna Elizabeth Walker of Norfolk, Virginia. She left behind her companion, Bruce Green of many years.  A heart, that now lays with the Lord in eternal rejoicing.
Terri Lyn Thomas, 61, of Savoy left behind her father, E.D. Thomas of Savoy and step mother Marguerite Thomas along with her two siblings, Candy Kyle Thomas Marquez and husband Tony of Hendrix Oklahoma and Keith “Todd” Thomas of Savoy. She was loved and known by her nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and extended family. She was preceded on death by her mother, Jean Bean of Bakersfield, California.
One extraodinary thing about Miss Terri Lyn were her trends; trends on all sorts of things from colander laden cranium protection to quiche. She was a rugged woman with dainty hands and a playful heart. She nurtured her children all the way from soothing growing pains in the rocking chair, at the hours only a child would know to disturb parental peace, to celebrating her youngest daughters at their military graduations.
Miss Walker had a wicked sense of humor that she passed to her daughters. On a long, arduous trip to Nebraska, whilst the family was exhausted from travels, the one and only Terri, took hideout in the hammock with a clutch of red cherries in hand, munching away while the children played. She noticed the vibrant red color the cherries extruded when mashed and a delicious prank went into brewing. Terri laid herself in that hammock, splayed, with the remnants of cherry juice on her lips and chin, hoping that her children would find the ruse before the bears did. And boy did they! A clamoring, cacophony of children’s cries under heavy plodded footfalls came crashing into the cabin where her husband at the time had been, trying to enjoy his own respite, screaming that their mother was incapacitated. A good laugh between the two and a story had been created.
The mother of the four was skilled with her hands, despite how soft they always stayed. She was raised on a farm with her siblings, brought up with hard work and life lessons. She worked as a handy-woman for a stint while she traveled the states in her later years, staying with family and friends.
She was all about efficiency, all the way down to her children; an unspoken minimalist to truth. She loved experimenting with food and would often go on long trollops with her children serving as guinea pigs. Quiche, a word that wouldn’t make most people cringe, or casserole, but her children taste tested the good, the bad, and the ugly of her creations. She was affectionately named the “Quiche Queen” for her longest stint yet on said dish, much to her family’s dismay. With the memories she left in her wake, it is an understatement, that she leaves deep shoes to fill and her presence will be missed by all whose life she touched.

Her tenacious spirit led her to achieve innumerable accolades throughout her high school career at Bells. Starting with but not limited to; Letterman’s club 2, 3, 4; Choir 1, 2; Year-book Activity Editor 4; FHA Officer 3; FHA Area V Convention 2; FHA Area V Choir 2; Volleyball 1, 2, 3, 4; captain 4; Regional Volleyball Qualifier 4; Track 1, 2, 3, 4; Track Regional Qualifier 3, 4 High Jump; Tennis 1; Who’s Who Among American High School Students 3, 4; Homecoming Queen Candidate 4; Drill team 1, 2, 3, 4; Drummer 1; Rank Leader 1; Head Cheerleader 4; Cheerleader 3, 4; Drill Team Lieutenant 2; Student Secretary 1, 2, 3; Texoma Arts.
