February 28, 1930 –  July 18, 2013 Tommy A. Shasteen, 83 of Denison, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian –WNJ Sherman, after a month-long illness. Funeral services for Tommy are set for 10 A.M., Monday, July 22, 2013 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery east of Denison with Reverend Darren Gilbert officiating. Those serving as pallbearers for Tommy are Zac Blount, Cole Kimberling, Jacob Pearson, Charlie Robertson, Garry Reese and Jordan Blount.
Tommy was born February 28, 1930 in Bee, Oklahoma to parents, John Houston Shasteen and Thressa “Babe” (Adams) Shasteen. He married Billie Reese on June 20, 1954 in Kingston, Oklahoma and they raised two daughters and a son. He was a Heavy Machine Operator for the Corp of Engineers and earned three Outstanding Performance Awards during his 25-year career. He also had a love for farming and ranching, was a member of Masonic Lodge 403 in Denison and served his country in the US Army.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Billie of Denison; children, Kathy Shasteen Robertson and husband Charlie of Cherry Mound, Cheree Shasteen of Denison, brother Clay Shasteen of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, Zachery Blount, Jessica Blount Pearson, Whittney Blount, Cole Kimberling, Kara Kimberling and five great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the T.A. Shasteen Loy Lake Scholarship Fund and can be mailed to 142 Arthur Rd. Denison, Texas 75021. The family will greet friends from 2-4 P.M., Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home, 754 State Hwy. 56 East, Bells.
