Vickie Jean Drost passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 in Savoy, Texas at the age of 73. She was born on June 2, 1952 to Bill and Bonnie (Blanton) Kremling in Sherman, Texas. She was the middle child and grew up alongside her two brothers, Dennis and Larry Kremling.

Vickie was a loving and doting grandmother, affectionately known as “Nanny” to those who held her dear. She was a friend to many and had a natural gift for making friends wherever she went. Easy to talk to and quick with a reply, Vickie could contribute to just about any conversation. Her fun personality, sharp wit, and spirited nature made her memorable to all who knew her. Strong-willed and determined, Vickie stood firm in her opinions and decisions. She was a snack lover who relished sweets and enjoyed a good Coke. Above all, she lived life her way, with honesty, humor, and heart.

She was a devoted fan of NASCAR and especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. In her quieter moments, Vickie could often be found watching her favorite soap operas. She had a soft heart, particularly when it came to caring for stray cats, always making sure they were looked after.

Vickie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bonnie Kremling; brother, Dennis Kremling.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Drost and wife Filicha of Savoy; grandchildren, Kevin Pelzel and wife Tori with their daughter Aurora of Houston, Texas, Justin Pelzel of Denison, Texas, and Tre Drost of Sherman; brother, Larry Kremling and wife Lori of Gainesville, Texas.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mullican Little Funeral Home.
