July 17, 1933 –  March 17, 2014 Jean passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas surrounded by her two children. Jean was born July 17, 1933 in Blue Ridge, Texas to David James and Mable Francis (Clark) Short. She married James Douglas Lansford on September 26, 1952 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Jean was a retired Postmaster for Savoy, Texas and loved to needle work. Jean had a great compassion for her friends and family and loved to take care of those in need. Jean loved her church family at the First Baptist Church in Bells where she was an active member. She served as a room mother for both Jeff and Terri for all their school years at Bells ISD.

Graveside services for Jean will be at 10:00AM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Dr. Bill Neal, Jr. will officiate, whom Jean loved as her Pastor, and Reverend Phil Washburn will assist.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent in Jean’s name to the First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 307 S. Pecan St., Bells, TX 754l4.
