Wyatt Earl Dodd probably passed away at his home in Bells but was pronounced at the hospital in Sherman, Texas June 29, 2021 at the age 78. He was born August 6, 1942 to Wyatt Harvey and Ruth Naomi (Lane) Dodd in Lodi, Ohio. He was nicknamed “Butch” as a child.

He honorably served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the service, he went on to work for Texas Instruments. He was a highly accomplished electrical engineer and retired from Raytheon after a 36-year career. In retirement, he served as a consultant. Butch was an intelligent man with an excellent mind for mathematics and numbers. He was a private person who was a steadfast and loyal friend.

He married Juanita Frances Holley on August 6, 1970 in Mesquite, Texas. This was a calculated date of choice, his 28th birthday! They enjoyed nearly 51 years of love, contentment and security in one another.

Butch found peace and comfort in the solitude of their land, a beautiful property with gentle hills, ponds and trees.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Dodd; son, Darin Brunet; brother, Richard Dodd and wife Pam; Rick and Pam’s daughter Deirdre Hyatt and her extended family; and cousins, nieces and nephews in Ohio.
