Ervin Eugene Cross

Erwin Eugene Cross was born on October 11, 1957 in Denison, Texas to Erwin Franklin and Ruby Elizabeth (Smith) Cross as the youngest of three children. He graduated from Savoy High School and was an excellent basketball player. He was known for his long range shooting ability at the end of the game, his ability won games at the last moment. He graduated from East Texas State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business. Eugene worked for 30 plus years as an accountant for Hunt Oil Company in Dallas, Texas. Eugene was a valued employee, excelling way beyond expectations often taking on additional projects. Eugene was humorous and funny with an outgoing personality; he made friends easily. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Ruby Cross; sister, Tommy House; aunt, Barbara Cross. He has survived by his domestic partner of 36 years, Ronnie L. Womack of Coconut Creek, Florida; brother, Donald Cross and wife Kay of Grand Prairie, Texas; aunt, Tommy Hodges of Savoy, Texas; and many nieces and nephews along with extended family, cousins and friends. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery Bells, Texas.
