Kathy Joanne Harper
March 4, 1961 ~ January 19, 2024
Kathy Joanne Harper passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024 in Denison at the age of 62. She was born to James E. and Joyce Lee (Rolen) Sinclair on March 4, 1961 in Whitewright, Texas.
Kathy had a warm spirit, and people were drawn to her easy nature, she made friends easily. She loved her boys and made them a priority, supporting them in their activities. She was a superb cook, preparing hot, nutritious meals for them. She loved to fish, but she refused to put a worm on the hook and would not take a fish off the hook, which meant she had her sons do the dirty work!
She worked for 25 years plus at General Dynamics as a Quality Control Officer. As a young lady, she played on the company softball team, making many new friends.
Later in life, she loved her garden, buying various starter seed packs. She enjoyed researching and exploring new vegetables to grow, she spent many a pleasurable hour doing so. Kathy always had dogs! At one time, she had seven dachshunds, because she couldn’t bear to give them away, after becoming attached to them.
After a trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas, she brought home a carload of oversize quartz crystals that she used to decorate her house and yard.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sonny Chelf; sisters, Janet Sims, and Linda Niblett.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Harper, and Jesse Harper and wife Nicole; niece, Lisa Jones; nephews, Joe Niblett, Steven Niblett, and Luther Sims.
