Ava Drue (Jones) Krum went home to Jesus on September 10, 2024 age 91 in Sherman, Texas.

Ava was born to Jack and Edna (Little) Jones on September 30, 1932 in Pike, Texas. As a child, she worked in the cotton fields and later helped her stepfather sell chicken eggs.

Ava met her husband, Joe Krum in 1949 while walking home from school in Denison. They married the next year on March 7, 1950 and went on to have two children, Sandra Gail and Ronny Mark. Their family moved to Bells, Texas in 1954.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Ava also loved working in her garden and yard and staying actively involved in her husband’s television repair business. Most Sundays, she was in Sunday School and worship at First Baptist Church, Bells. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with her family and friends.

Ava joins her parents, Jack and Edna Jones; husband, Joe Krum; stepfather, Andy Blackwell; brother, Doyce Jones; and son, Ronny Krum in Heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Skiles and husband Bob; half-sister, Linda Simmons and husband Tom; grandchildren, Andy, Scarlett Renee, and Michael; great grandchildren, Indigo, Averlee, Wesley, and Trevor; also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kayren, Diane, Connie, Ricky.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Mullican Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. Funeral services will be Monday, September 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Mullican Little Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pike Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas.
